How it Works

The diVa® Experience
During an initial consultation for a diVa® laser treatment, your provider will personalise your treatment plan to best fit your health history and unique concerns.
Before the treatment, the provider will place a topical anaesthetic ointment on the skin for improved comfort to numb the area being treated.
You should feel minimal to no discomfort as he or she gently inserts the diVa® handpiece 3 to 4 inches into the vaginal canal. The laser component of the diVa® will then spin (up to 360 degrees) with no manual movement by your provider. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.
Post-Care
Regardless of the intensity of your treatment, patients can expect mild swelling and tightness of skin.
A gentle cleanser and moisturizer will be recommended to protect and comfort the treated area and should be used until healed.
Patients may return to their daily routine with minimal to no discharge, spotting, or discomfort; however, patients should avoid sexual intercourse or insertion of tampons for up to 48 hours.
diVa® is often performed as part of a series approximately 4-8 weeks long depending on depth and coverage area of the treatment, as well as the health and integrity of the treatment area.
